ALL-NEW OUTLANDER PHEV WINS INTERNATIONAL iF DESIGN AWARD
Mitsubishi’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicle model of the all-new Outlander has won an iF Design Award 2022: one of the world’s most prestigious design awards.
The iF Design Awards* (organised by iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover, Germany) have honoured outstanding design since 1954. Recognised as a symbol of design excellence around the world, in 2022, around 11,000 entries were submitted from 57 countries.
The iF Jury of international design experts judged based on five criteria: idea, form, function, differentiation and impact. The all-new Outlander PHEV was especially recognised for its form, function and differentiation.
“This award adds to Mitsubishi Motors’ proud legacy as a leader in electrification,” says Steve Hammond at Rangiora Mitsubishi. “The company launched the world’s first mass-produced electric vehicle in 2009 (the i-MiEV), followed by the Outlander PHEV in 2013 – the world’s first plug-in hybrid electric SUV.”
The all-new Outlander PHEV is Mitsubishi Motors’ flagship model, with an array of advanced technologies, including the best in electrification and all-wheel control.
